Steve
I first began this agility adventure by being of service at the USDAA Nationals in Del Mar in 2001. There I was assigned the job of Gate Steward. I thought it was so much fun to meet all the handlers and their dogs. I met Karen Moureaux there and a few months later was taking Contact Point's Mr. Magoo home to live with Phoebe and I. He become my first agility dog. We did all the seminars, entered/worked at all the shows near and far and had a great time. We had so much fun and met so many nice people and dogs.
I loved the photographs and video memories that became available and bought them whenever I could. I am happy to now be able to offer you high definition videos and candid photographs of you and your dogs running and having fun.
Phoebe
Nine week old Phoebe came to me a few days after my Dad had passed away in 1999. I knew it was dog, I mean God, speaking to me with a new life. I said I didn't want a dog and placed an ad in the paper to see if anyone had lost this cute little puppy. It's funny how life turns out; just the way it's supposed to. Nobody claimed her. Since I had never owned a dog before and thought that if I was going to be a good dog owner, I had to train her to be a good dog. I read all I could, went to all the obedience classes I could and gave her as much love as I could. We were so proud of our first title: a C.G.C. I continued to teach her many many stupid pet tricks and even got to go to Hollywood and audition for a TV show with the Phoebster. And since I've always believed in giving back, we trained to be a Certified Pet Therapy Dog and visited the local hospital cheering up the patients and staff for four years. How rewarding for all involved!
If you see her at a show, give her a cookie or two, she'll be your friend for life.
Mr. Magoo
ADCH Contact Point's Mister Magoo came to live with us in 2002 when he was two years old. We went to three agility classes a week and obedience classes on weekends.. We trained and trained and trained. We went to all the seminars and entered all the shows and worked at all the shows we entered. We've had a great time doing agility and even qualified for the USDAA Nationals in Scottsdale five years in a row. It was so much fun to run clean in the big Grand Prix semifinals ring proudly wearing my qualifying polo shirt! Mr. Magoo, or "Goo" as people know I call him on course, is my BFF forever. He is so loyal and obedient. He sure is a good boy. I love him a lot.
Whimsy
Pretty little ADCH Contact Point's Whimsy's sweet disposition and OFA excellent hips are three things that immediately attracted me to her. Her temperament is so easy going and she gets along with everyone she meets. She's so independent it's thrown me for a loop after having two very obedient dogs. But her love of life and willingness to please me is impressive. She is a great pet and we're so glad she's part of our family, I mean pack. LOL She's a cuddler and will give you a kiss if you let her. Please do.
